Welcome to the garden

Week Notes: Week 3/52

INFO

I think this the winner for what I want to title these kinds of posts. I knew I’d figure it out evetually!

This week went by in a bit of a scattered-brain blur and I had to check multiple times that it was really the 3rd week of 2026. I find that I’m already struggling to remember what I did with my 2 weeks off over the holiday break because it feels like so long ago. Thankfully it’s a three day weekend for (most of) us so I plan to take some time to regroup and set myself up for a less frantic-feeling new week.

Here’s what the week was like for me:

  1. I watched a great video about how Kayla from Booksandlala conducted a year long cycle-syncing experiment to figure out what patterns she could uncover to improve her work life while also managing her cycle. Super informative and inspiring and something I’ll be doing myself this year.

  2. Read about the difference between somatic healing and somatic regulation and decided that somatic regulation is exactly the foundation I needed to define how I’m approaching this year.

  3. Wrote about ideas that keep haunting me.

  4. I caught up on the first episode of season 2 of The Pitt and am so glad it’s back! I feel like every corner of the internet is talking about how good this show is and if you were a fan of ER, this is a show you cannot miss.

  5. There Is No Closure: Stop Organizing and Start Writing tough words that I most certainly needed to read.

  6. Since listening to Writing Down The Boneslast year, I’ve been circling the idea of reading everything from Natalie Goldberg. I started the journey this week by borrowing Thunder and Lightning: Cracking Open the Writer's Craft and by buying Wild Mind: Living the Writer's Life

  7. Went through my physical writing craft books and decided on the starting lineup. Here’s the team: IMG_0167

Until next week✌🏾
