Blogmas Day 19 - I’ve been…[Weekly recap #4]
Three cheers for the weekend! I’ve read and watched a lot of good stuff this week so I thought I’d use today’s post to do a little recap. I really enjoy looking back at these to see the types of things that capture my attention and how they shift and change as the months go by.
Anyway, on to the recap!
Watched
My husband and I finished the first season of UK Celebrity Traitors and had a riot watching it. It was only 9 episodes, but it made for good before bed watching.
I fell asleep during the second half but the first half of the Knicks v Spurs NBA Cup final was a real barn burner. The Knicks won!
I technically finished The Price of Confession last week but I’m still thinking about it this week. The twists and turns were skull shaking.
An interesting video essay about the state of motherhood in the 1980s.
Read
A wonderful article about what using multiple journals meant to someone who was doing it long before journal ecosystems became the latest trend. I related deeply to this piece as someone who has been using multiple notebooks to process their thoughts for as long as she can remember.
Made it to the halfway point of Positive Obsession: The Life and Times of Octavia E. Butler. Octavia E. Butler is one of my writing role models so getting a look into her process and thoughts has been a joy.
That’s everything of note from this week!
Until tomorrow!
